Union board approves capital projects, schedules unsafe buildings hearing

NY UNION — Town of Union Board approves $14,500 Glendale Park backstop replacement and multiple capital projects. Supervisor Robert Mack and Councilmen Joseph P. Nirchi Sr. and David Kudgus approved $21,000 for lawn maintenance at flood buyout properties, a $2,373 increase to the truck purchase budget bringing it to $231,873, and authorized solicitation of bids for a new diesel truck with bids due March 31.
The board also approved a $1.25 per hour wage increase for part-time and seasonal Parks and Recreation employees effective immediately, and scheduled an April 1 public hearing to consider amendments to the town's Unsafe Buildings ordinance.
