Union Board approves capital purchases, schedules park law hearings

NY UNION — Union Board schedules park law votes, approves capital spending. The Town Board voted to schedule public hearings on August 12 for two park law amendments restricting motorized vehicles and allowing dogs in parks. The dog parks amendment passed 4-1, with Councilman Frank J.

Bertoni dissenting; Supervisor Robert Mack and Councilmen Thomas R. Augostini, Joseph P. Nirchi Sr., and David Kudgus supported it.

The board unanimously approved capital purchases of a 2026 Ford Maverick XL for $35,254.43 and a $10,500 trailer. The Choconut Water District dissolution vote passed 88-1.
