NY UNION — Union Planning Board approves steel manufacturing with environmental controls. The board unanimously granted an Aquifer Permit and environmental clearance for The Steel Company's operation at 1239 Campville Road, where owner Matt Obeid will manufacture steel products including anchor bolts and concrete anchors. The approval requires secondary containment for 165 gallons of cutting oil and Department of Environmental Conservation notification in case of spills.
The board also scheduled public hearings for April 14 on a propane-exchange proposal at 798 Main Street and online automobile sales at 2320 Lewis Street, Suite F.
