Union Town Board approves deputy comptroller hire, capital improvements

NY UNION — Union Town Board unanimously approves Deputy Town Comptroller at $55,000 annually. Kristen Barker will begin April 13, 2026, pending pre-employment testing. The board authorized $150,000 in CDBG transfers: $50,000 to Southern Tier Community Center Capital Project and $100,000 for emergency utility assistance.

Capital improvements include $14,500 for Glendale Park backstop replacement and dugout fencing through Southern Tier Fence Company, and $16,800 to $24,300 for West Endicott Carousel repairs by WRF of Plainville, Connecticut.
